 ENERGY SAVING TIPS
One of the most significant contributors to climate change is the burning of fossil fuels, which releases greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and contributes to global warming. The good news is that we can all make a difference by conserving energy in our daily lives.

Summer is a time when many people rely heavily on air conditioning to keep their homes cool and comfortable. However, running the AC constantly can be expensive and can have a negative impact on the environment.

Fortunately, there are many simple steps that you can take to save energy and reduce your carbon footprint during the summer months. By adopting these practices, you can enjoy a comfortable home while also saving money and helping the planet.

  1. Keep your windows and doors closed during the hottest parts of the day to prevent hot air from entering your home and forcing your AC to work harder.
  2. Use natural lighting instead of artificial lighting during the day to save energy and reduce heat buildup in your home.
  3. Use energy-efficient light bulbs and turn off lights when not in use to save energy and reduce heat output.
  4. Use fans to circulate air and create a cooling effect, allowing you to use less AC and save energy
  5. Plant trees or install shading devices to block direct sunlight from entering your home, reducing the need for AC.
  6. Close blinds and curtains during the hottest parts of the day to block out heat and keep your home cooler.
  7. Use a clothesline to dry your clothes instead of a dryer, which uses a lot of energy and generates heat.
  8. Use a grill or cook outdoors instead of using your oven, which generates a lot of heat and increases the temperature in your home.
  9. Keep appliances and electronics unplugged when not in use to save energy and reduce heat output.
  10. Iron clothes during off-peak (1:00 pm – 5:00pm) to save energy cost.
Energy conservation is about using less energy to achieve the same results. Conserving energy not only helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also saves money on our energy bills. Moreover, it can also create a cleaner and healthier environment for all of us. Energy conservation is a small but essential step towards mitigating the effects of climate change.

It is high time that we take action to save our planet from the adverse effects of climate change. We need to work together to conserve energy and reduce our carbon footprint. Every little step counts, and if we all do our part, we can make a significant impact on the health and well-being of our planet. Let`s start today and make a difference for tomorrow.
Empowering Tomorrow: CASURECO IV`s Solar Revolution
In a significant event attended by esteemed figures from the National Electrification Administration (NEA), including Administrator Antonio Mariano C. Almeda and a distinguished panel of Deputy Administrators, CASURECO IV made a defining mark in its journey of advancement. Joined by the Board of Directors, dedicated employees, and esteemed guests from various cooperative entities, CASURECO IV convened to herald a new era of sustainability and innovation.

The highlight of the event was the signing of the Renewable Energy Supply Agreement (RESA) between CASURECO IV and Trademaster Renewable One Inc. (TROI), a testament to the cooperative`s unwavering commitment to harnessing renewable energy. Administrator Almeda commended CASURECO IV for its pioneering initiatives, particularly its adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Geographic Information System (GIS), and Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI).

But the pinnacle of CASURECO IV`s journey towards sustainability was marked by the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a 3.03 MWp solar farm at the CASURECO IV Campus in Talojongon, Camarines Sur. More than just a symbol of progress, this solar farm represents a promise—a promise to provide Member-Consumer Owners (MCOs) with affordable, sustainable power, while simultaneously reducing the cooperative`s carbon footprint.

The advantages of solar-generated power are abundant and far-reaching since solar energy is renewable and inexhaustible, an abundant resource that will never run out. By harnessing the power of the sun, CASURECO IV ensures a reliable and sustainable source of energy for generations to come.

Secondly, solar power is clean and environmentally friendly, producing zero emissions and minimizing pollution. By reducing reliance on fossil fuels, CASURECO IV takes proactive steps towards mitigating climate change and preserving the planet for future generations.

Moreover, solar energy offers significant cost savings over the long term. Once installed, solar panels require minimal maintenance and have low operating costs, translating into reduced electricity bills for MCOs and enhanced financial stability for the cooperative.

Solar power enhances energy security by diversifying the energy mix and reducing dependence on imported fuels. With solar energy, CASURECO IV reduces vulnerability to supply disruptions and price fluctuations, ensuring a more resilient and self-sufficient energy system just like hydropower plants and other renewable energy sources.

As CASURECO IV embarks on this transformative journey towards solar-generated power, it not only redefines the future of energy but also sets a shining example for cooperatives nationwide. With each solar panel installed, CASURECO IV reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and community empowerment.

𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗜𝗩`𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
On January 24, 2024, CASURECO IV embarked on a venture in renewable energy with EnergyTech Ventures Incorporated (EVI), the Panicuan Hydro Power Plant. This strategic partnership is poised to deliver 1.5MWp of clean, sustainable energy, a pivotal move in CASURECO IV`s commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship.

The signing ceremony for the Renewable Energy Supply Agreement (RESA) was held at CASURECO IV Boardroom in Talojongon, Tigaon, Camarines Sur, symbolizing a new chapter in energy provision for the cooperative and its Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs).

By embracing renewable energy sources such as hydropower, CASURECO IV not only paves the way for reduced electricity rates for its MCOs but also demonstrates its dedication to environmental responsibility. Harnessing the power of nature to generate electricity minimizes reliance on fossil fuels, thereby curbing harmful emissions and mitigating climate change.

The advantages of solar-generated power are abundant and far-reaching since solar energy is renewable and inexhaustible, an abundant resource that will never run out. By harnessing the power of the sun, CASURECO IV ensures a reliable and sustainable source of energy for generations to come.

The advantages of transitioning to renewable energy are diverse. Firstly, it fosters energy independence, shielding CASURECO IV and its MCOs from the volatility of fossil fuel markets. Secondly, it enhances energy security by diversifying the energy mix, reducing susceptibility to supply disruptions. Moreover, investing in renewables fosters economic growth and job creation, catalyzing a thriving green economy within the community.

Beyond financial benefits, the adoption of renewable energy aligns with global efforts to combat climate change. By reducing greenhouse gas emissions and lessening reliance on finite resources, CASURECO IV contributes to a more sustainable future for generations to come. This proactive approach not only safeguards the environment but also enhances the resilience of communities in the face of climate-related challenges.

In essence, the partnership between CASURECO IV and EVI heralds a new era of energy provision—one characterized by sustainability, affordability, and resilience. As the Panicuan Hydro Power Plant comes to fruition, it stands as a testament to the power of collaboration in driving positive change for both business and the planet.
